Position Overview:

The Client Banking Specialist is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients, the Relationship Banking team, and various business divisions of CrossFirst Bank. This role demands a high degree of precision to adhere to regulatory standards and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the opening of personal checking, savings, CDs, and IRA accounts, as well as business checking accounts. Ensure all necessary documentation is obtained and follow up with clients post-account opening.
  • Execute personal banking transactions for clients, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Manage account maintenance tasks for clients, such as updating addresses, issuing debit cards, processing title changes, and handling research requests; provide copies of checks, statements, or other documents as needed.
  • Support the Relationship Banking team and other business units with account openings, CD renewals, and account maintenance.
  • Act as a backup for the relationship banking team at various locations within the region.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects, features, and benefits of the Bank's products and services to effectively promote additional offerings.
  • Engage proactively with clients, identifying opportunities to provide recommendations and referrals to meet their needs.
  • Guide clients on maximizing FDIC coverage, assist with proper account titling, and address more complex deposit inquiries.
  • Respond to client inquiries or concerns in a courteous and helpful manner; investigate issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including Bank promotions, community engagement, and cross-selling efforts, including follow-up communications.
  • Achieve or surpass all performance goals, projects, and targets.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, particularly regarding any challenges in meeting deadlines or providing adequate coverage.
  • Deliver services accurately and punctually.
  • Interact with both internal and external clients while providing outstanding service.
  • Establish and nurture trusted, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Represent the Bank and the Relationship Banking team with professionalism.
  • Complete job responsibilities in a timely, organized, and efficient manner.
  • Uphold confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate reliable and consistent on-site attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with personal and private banking deposit products and processes, as well as banking regulations.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role within retail banking services, ideally in a commercial banking environment.
  • Proficiency with banking processing software.
  • Demonstrated experience with office automation tools, including telephones, computers, and scanners, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A bachelor's degree with coursework in Accounting or Finance is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is typically competitive and will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications and experience. This role may also be eligible for incentive plans based on individual and company performance.
