The Customer Service Representative (Loan Consultant I) plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service while offering tailored personal loan solutions. This role emphasizes the importance of establishing a loyal customer base through effective sales techniques, loan extensions, and merchant referrals. Success in this position is measured by the quality of customer interactions, business generation, compliance with regulations, achievement of monthly targets, and accuracy in all transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist clients visiting the office or contacting us via phone; manage credit and employment verifications and document the information received.
- Process payments and distributions, make informed recommendations regarding loan approvals, and finalize loan closings.
- Handle account activities related to collections, including both phone and face-to-face communications with clients.
- Prepare necessary reports, correspondence, and transaction documentation; maintain accurate records and file documentation appropriately.
- Operate the cash drawer, process bank deposits, and ensure the accuracy of records and balances.
- Actively promote all branch products and services to potential clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 0-2 years of experience in consumer finance or a related field.
- Experience with cash handling, strong computer skills, and excellent customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
