Job Summary

Franklin Companies is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Director of Business Development to join our team. This role will be responsible for nurturing relationships with brokers, owners, and developers to identify potential 3rd party management opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Franklin Companies to contacts within the multifamily and senior housing community, identifying potential 3rd party management services.
  • Cultivate relationships with multifamily real estate and senior housing community stakeholders, including developers, brokers, and government entities.
  • Develop and expand existing relationships with housing authorities, housing finance agencies, and other government entities relating to affordable housing.
  • Stay up-to-date on market conditions in target markets, identifying potential management opportunities.
  • Communicate with brokers and owners to identify potential management opportunities for properties.
  • Travel to site visits and tours of competitive properties to gain a complete understanding of the submarket.
  • Communicate internally regarding viable leads, opportunities, obstacles, and needs to close business.
  • Work with development, operations, and construction teams to market our services effectively.
  • Grow existing 3rd party management business by closing new contracts while maintaining existing clients.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of progressive experience in multifamily real estate 3rd party management and 3rd party senior housing management.
  • Experience working with conventional multifamily and senior housing owners/developers as well as housing authorities and non-profits.
  • Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in real estate or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, intuitive, collaborative, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, and multi-task.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
