ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Quality Assurance Leader in our analytical instrumentation manufacturing facility, you will oversee all facets of quality control and assurance processes. Your main objective will be to uphold and enhance the quality management system, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, customer requirements, and internal benchmarks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute quality initiatives, promote continuous improvement, cultivate a quality-centric culture throughout the organization, and guarantee that our products consistently meet and surpass the highest quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and uphold quality control processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, encompassing inspection, testing, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of quality systems and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Lead investigations into quality concerns, deviations, and non-conformances, developing corrective and preventive action plans to address root causes.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to quality assurance personnel, including training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that raw materials and components align with quality specifications and standards.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to monitor performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective actions.
  • Assist with customer inquiries, complaints, and quality-related issues, facilitating timely and effective resolutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to analytical instrumentation manufacturing and quality management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing context, with certification as a Quality Manager (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) being advantageous.

  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and statistical process control.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex data sets and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy, precision, and continuous improvement.
