Project Engineer Role

Critical Fit Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving innovation and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead major and minor capital projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Execute changes effectively through the use of management of change tools.
  • Specify, procure, commission, and sustain new equipment.
  • Manage contractors and vendors.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
  • Build relationships and work cross-functionally with Maintenance, R&D, Production, Safety, and Quality.
  • Analyze data and other process outputs to reduce variability.
  • Investigate deviations using root cause analysis to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support efforts to improve manufacturing instructions to ensure repeatable operations.
  • Support site safety initiatives and safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline required, preferred chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience managing capital projects, competent in Project Management, possessing the ability to start a project and see it through to completion, PMP certification a plus.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies, chemistries, and processes.
  • Ability to work in and transition between manufacturing, lab, and office environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
