Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team at Murray Company Mechanical Contractors. As a key member of our Accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our project managers, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of project financials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including job cost reports, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, estimators, and other accounting team members.
  • Provide analytical support to project managers, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in construction project accounting or a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer

Murray Company Mechanical Contractors offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
