Appointment Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Appointment Coordinator to join our team at Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. As an Appointment Coordinator, you will play a critical role in scheduling company appointments with current and potential customers or clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments: Successfully schedule company appointments via phone, email, and records time and date of appointments in the AS400 system database or other company/internal freight monitoring system used within the company.
- Provide customer service: Perform general customer service by responding to customer inquiries, providing status updates on shipments, and assisting customers with completing Bill of Lading and labeling freight.
- Communicate effectively: Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills to internal and external customers.
- Meet productivity standards: Meet productivity standards and maintain a high level of accuracy in scheduling appointments and providing customer service.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with AS400 preferred.
