Old Dominion is seeking an Appointment Clerk to become a vital part of our OD Family Culture. In this role, you will efficiently manage appointment scheduling for both current and prospective clients in a dynamic, high-volume call environment through various communication channels, including phone and email. You will also record appointment details in our AS400 system or other internal freight monitoring systems. Appointment Clerks play a crucial role in ensuring we meet our commitments to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls to arrange pickups and deliveries.
  • Timely input of appointments into the computer system.
  • Provide general customer service by responding to inquiries, tracking shipments, and assisting customers with documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, ideally in the transportation sector.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with AS400 is preferred.

Working Days:
Monday to Friday.

Working Shift:
AM / PM.
