Front Desk Receptionist Position

MedMan is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to enhance our patient care experience. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, excel at managing multiple tasks, and possess strong organizational skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in both front desk operations and medical assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities at the Front Desk

  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills while interacting with physicians, patients, families, visitors, and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone, addressing inquiries or directing them appropriately.
  • Coordinate patient appointment scheduling efficiently.
  • Accurately gather and input patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Verify insurance details and ensure accuracy.
  • Process payments at the time of service while maintaining confidentiality as mandated by HIPAA.

Medical Assistant Duties (when applicable)

  • Complete necessary charting and documentation in accordance with clinic protocols and provider instructions.
  • Administer injections, perform blood draws, and manage sutures and staples as per clinic guidelines.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding clinical matters to support ongoing care.
  • Facilitate patient education under the guidance of the healthcare provider.
  • Prepare and sanitize treatment areas and medical instruments.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a medical assistant.
  • Familiarity with medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Strong time management abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a keen sense of social awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Robust organizational capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma; some college education preferred.
  • Certification as a medical assistant.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with EHR systems is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to various clinic locations.
