Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Engagement Coordinator to enhance our service delivery. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth patient care journey for both prospective clients and existing patients. This position primarily involves phone communication to address inquiries, assist in appointment scheduling, and guide patients through any obstacles they may face.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service, enjoys assisting others, possesses a friendly demeanor, and is committed to our mission and values at Trinity Health.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE:
  • After completing initial training, employees have the option to work either on-site or remotely.
  • Work hours: Monday to Friday during daytime hours from 8am to 5pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, or marketing, preferably with exposure to healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Experience with Trinity Health is advantageous but not essential.
  • Prior experience in healthcare settings is beneficial but not required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exemplifies and promotes the Organizational Mission, Core Values, and Vision in all interactions and decisions.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues to facilitate patient engagement and address inquiries.
  • Acts as the primary contact and guide for patients seeking information, event registration, and appointment scheduling.
  • Contacts patients to arrange new patient appointments and coordinates requests for access.
  • Introduces programs to potential clients, providing educational resources, new patient documentation, and basic insurance information. Educates patients about their treatment options and available services through Trinity Health.
  • Assists in lead management and data collection to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitors patient engagement and appointment tracking.
  • Collaborates with other departments to support patient outreach and scheduling efforts.
  • Utilizes problem-solving skills to gather necessary information and identify the immediate needs of callers, including crisis situations; routes calls to appropriate resources and documents interactions per protocol.
  • Ensures confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues. Communicates effectively through both verbal and written channels to maintain a professional image.
  • Guides patients through the healthcare system, explaining insurance processes related to benefits, cost estimates, self-pay options, and financial assistance.
  • Must be proficient in using multiple software applications and electronic health record systems simultaneously.
