About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering team at Nexamp. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading the engineering and design initiatives for our solar power plants and energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from development to construction, ensuring designs are optimized to meet project schedules while minimizing costs.
  • Lead energy modeling using Helioscope and PVSYST software.
  • Review and approve procurement specifications.
  • Provide decisive technical support throughout the project phases.
  • Pioneer new technologies and process improvements.
  • Develop vital vendor and consultant relationships.
  • Contribute to the training and development of our engineering team.
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent educational/certification background.
  • 4 years of solar design and/or project engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard design codes such as National Electric Code, International Building Code, International Fire Code and other standards relevant to the industry.
  • Moderate proficiency with PVSYST software.
  • Working knowledge (or Moderate Proficiency) in AutoCAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of power engineering principles relevant to photovoltaic energy and Battery Energy Storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of value engineering and project optimization methods.
  • Moderate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Moderate proficiency with MS collaboration tools (Salesforce, Teams, Power BI, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
