About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Maintenance Lead to join our Americas Operations Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing global standards for technical operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest level of maintenance and reliability across our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain global standards for technical operations, including change management and maintenance processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to remediate systemic issues and improve standards and processes, in partnership with the Global Design Team.
  • Review and approve change management requests, ensuring compliance with global standards and best practices.
  • Support the North American region with vendor oversight and drive accountability for maintenance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Tech Ops Lead to define and implement group maintenance policy and standards, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Work with Sub-Regional teams to implement global standards and hold teams accountable for maintaining standards across reliability, maintenance, change management, and site acceptance.
  • Manage the Maintenance Management systems, ensuring software is up-to-date and changes are approved by relevant governance.
  • Partner with Regional Procurement to ensure all relevant maintenance contracts are in place and cost-effective.
  • Take a holistic view of subcontracts, reviewing possibilities for consolidation and standardization to reduce risk and cost.
  • Work with Procurement to leverage economies of scale and increase cost-effectiveness of maintenance contracts.
  • Define and review standard subcontractor KPIs and SLAs.
  • Schedule regular face-to-face meetings with Market Maintenance Leads to discuss maintenance performance, address issues, and review relevant topics.
  • Provide regular updates to Regional Ops Leads on asset and maintenance activities, including planned and reactive work performance reporting.
  • Manage Colo Utility Tracker and ensure proper handover of data centers to operations.
  • Review and approve commissioning scripts and support commissioning activities, focusing on acceptance requirements for all construction projects.
  • Support Local Operational Management Team on customer-impacting incidents, including customer engagement and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with operations acceptance for sites as part of the handover from DE&C, including warranties within the region.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of implementing change and driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to travel as required, with a flexible approach to work arrangements.
  • Experience in managing maintenance and reliability, with a focus on data centers and technical operations.
  • Ability to use experience and look beyond easy solutions to find the right answer.
