Position Overview

Seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager

Burlington Capital Properties is currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee operations at our property in the HEB region.

We are committed to delivering an exceptional living experience for our residents, and we seek candidates with proven expertise in leadership, maintenance, repairs, and customer relations. Our maintenance team plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall aesthetic and upkeep of the property, and we value managers who recognize their influence on the success of the property and resident satisfaction.

The work schedule for this role is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an "on-call" requirement for urgent maintenance issues during weekends and evenings on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and execute maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
  • Oversee and conduct routine apartment maintenance, which may include painting, carpet cleaning, and appliance servicing.
  • Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, and carpentry.
  • Assist with additional tasks as directed by management.
  • Maintenance team members must be available for "on-call" duties.
  • Manage expenses to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Engage in resident events and activities as required by the property manager.
  • Adhere to all safety and liability protocols as specified.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of essential maintenance requirements for properties, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in maintenance or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience in apartment maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience in appliance repair is advantageous.
  • HVAC Certification is mandatory.
  • A valid Driver's License, auto insurance, and a clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, staff, vendors, and the public.
