POSITION SUMMARY

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Coordinator to oversee the coordination of supply chain activities within the designated customer business unit. This role encompasses conducting situational assessments, developing tactical strategies, and providing guidance for the implementation of supply chain functions including procurement, planning, and inventory management. The successful candidate will align these responsibilities with the specific needs of our customers while supporting Cadrex's overarching Supply Chain Management objectives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the internal advocate for customer interests, ensuring their feedback is communicated effectively throughout the organization.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding customer requirements with Commodity Management, Purchasing, and Operations to deliver effective supply chain solutions.
  • Engage in Cadrex's monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) cycle alongside Business Unit and Operations Management to meet customer on-time delivery (OTD) targets.
  • Lead the response to changes in customer demand plans, analyzing new requirements and coordinating updates to the supply plan within a 24-48 hour timeframe.
  • Ensure synchronization of relevant ERP/MRP/Planning systems with customer demands and production capabilities.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental supply reviews to integrate with existing SIOP processes.
  • Conduct and lead weekly production meetings to strategize short-term planning in alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Proactively identify and communicate supply discrepancies in relation to customer expectations.
  • Manage excess and obsolete materials resulting from shifts in customer demand, ensuring recovery aligns with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to assess capacity and equipment needs when gaps are identified in SIOP.
  • Lead initiatives for advanced supply chain optimization, including vendor-managed inventory and Just-in-Time delivery schedules.
  • Assist with various Customer Service tasks as directed by management.
  • Support the Supply Chain and Purchasing teams in executing requests for quotations (RFQs), purchasing, and expediting processes as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or Operations within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in performing calculations related to inventory parameters and financial metrics.
  • Strong understanding of basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Familiarity with inventory and manufacturing software systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Comfortable engaging with customers and addressing their needs.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and potential electrical hazards. The noise level may vary from moderate to loud.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands for various tasks. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
