Job Overview

Hueman PE Talent Solutions is seeking a dedicated Metrologist.

As a Metrologist, you will be responsible for the creation and refinement of calibration methodologies and practices for precision measurement instruments. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and reliability of various measurement devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative atmosphere with colleagues.
  • Maintain punctuality and readiness for work each day.
  • Report directly to your designated manager or supervisor.
  • Complete ongoing physical examinations, background checks, and drug screenings as required.
  • Participate in continuous safety training, including general and site-specific sessions.
  • Develop and assess calibration systems for measuring various physical and chemical properties.
  • Identify and analyze sources of measurement error to ensure process reliability.
  • Offer guidance on resolving measurement challenges and collaborate with fellow metrology professionals.
  • Work independently at client locations.
  • Engage in technical training opportunities.
  • Adhere to ISO9001 and ISO 17025 Quality Management System standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and company vehicle.
  • Document service activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Travel within a specified radius as required for service calls.
  • Operate a company vehicle in compliance with local regulations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for service needs.
  • Be open to overtime work when necessary.
  • Carry a mobile device while on duty or on-call.
  • Assist colleagues as time permits.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing low-voltage electronic instruments.
  • Proficient in using tools for repair tasks.
  • Comfortable with computers and mobile technology.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and web applications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation.
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred education in electronics.
  • Military or commercial training in metrology is advantageous.
