Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Flight Test Specialist to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves supporting flight test operations by ensuring accurate data acquisition and instrumentation installation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for flight test instrumentation activities.
- Assist with the installation of customer engines and related components.
- Offer on-site support for instrumentation during flight line operations.
- Manage data conversion and transfer processes effectively.
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess a strong understanding of transducer operating principles, including pressure, temperature, strain gauge, flowmeters, and vibration sensors.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of test equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and calibrators.
- Exhibit the ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic engineering drawings with accuracy.
- Have hands-on experience installing instrumentation on various hardware components.
- Be familiar with different communication protocols, including UART, ARINC, Ethernet, and PCM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends to accommodate customer flight schedules.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace within the dedicated FTI area.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of Flight Data Acquisition Systems and Recorders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of various computer software applications.
- Have detailed expertise in harness fabrication, repair, and routing techniques.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check and comply with FAA Drug and Alcohol screening requirements.

- Effectively collaborate within a team environment, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Maintain physical fitness to handle lifting and moving objects as required.
- Work comfortably in an aircraft maintenance environment.
