Position Overview

As a Lead Cybersecurity Systems Analyst, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our information systems. Your role will involve staying abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies. You will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential threats to our IT infrastructure, thereby contributing to national security and the safety of our personnel.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Associate's degree in Information Systems Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Possession of Security+ certification or the capability to secure it within six months of employment.
  • Active Secret clearance, with the potential to obtain and maintain TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in information systems security within the defense sector or IT.
  • In-depth knowledge of security components and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and apply Department of Defense security policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide stakeholders on security protocols.
  • A collaborative mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining integrity and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as A+, Network+, MSCE Server 2016, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, and/or Security+ are advantageous.
  • Completion of relevant training in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security standards.
  • Familiarity with NIST Special Publication 800-53, ISO27001, and other security frameworks.
  • Experience with managing accredited information systems and virtual environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance tools and security configuration management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enforce security protocols for classified information systems in accordance with government regulations.
  • Utilize current technologies to enhance the security of classified networks and systems.
  • Act as the primary advisor on security matters related to classified systems.
  • Ensure compliance with National Industrial Security Program requirements and perform regular self-assessments.
  • Identify and document security vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and ensure proper resolution.
  • Participate in security projects aimed at improving the overall security posture of the organization.
  • Support the mission and values of Leonardo DRS through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, with occasional walking, climbing, and sitting.
  • Minimal travel may be required.

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position, which requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance promptly.
