The Windham Public Schools are seeking a skilled School Health Program Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to work in a dynamic and diverse school setting.

About the Role:

As a School Health Program Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing the school health program under the supervision of the Superintendent of Schools and the principal. You will adhere to the Connecticut Code of Professional Responsibility and ensure the safety of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement policies, rules, regulations, and directives from the Windham Board of Education and administrative departments.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
  • Provide necessary first aid and emergency care in accordance with established policies.
  • Exercise professional judgment in cases of illness or injuries and follow approved procedures.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, and school personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Current CT Nurse License required (RN).
  • Experience working with a diverse student demographic.
