Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a School Health Care Specialist. This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and dedicated professional to make a difference in the lives of our students and staff.

About the Role:

The School Health Care Specialist will work closely with the school principal and head nurse to provide high-quality health care services to our students and staff. This role involves implementing health regulations, providing first aid and care for sudden illnesses, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Connecticut Code of Professional Responsibility and implement health regulations of the State of Connecticut and the Windham Board of Education.
  • Ensure the safety of students and provide first aid and care for sudden illnesses.
  • Maintain individual pupil health records and perform and assist in the administration of all needed health screenings.
  • Administer medications in keeping with the Board of Education policy and state guidelines.
  • Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined and approved by the Windham Board of Education.
  • Maintain respect for confidential information and communicate effectively with parents.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Current CT Nurse License required (LPN).
  • Experience working with a diverse student demographic.

  • A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
