A Residential Solar Installation Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the installation of solar systems for residential properties. This position demands strong leadership abilities, effective communication, and meticulous documentation skills while working at elevated heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire installation process to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed on-site
  • Manage installations on various roofing styles and ground mounts
  • Supervise the quality and productivity of work conducted on-site
  • Coordinate with the Roof Lead and Branch Manager regarding necessary adjustments
  • Install mounting systems, solar panels, and electrical components
  • Accurately complete all job-related documentation
  • Gather data and photographic evidence for each project
  • Encourage teamwork among rooftop personnel to enhance project completion rates
  • Safely operate company vehicles to and from job sites
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials in the company vehicle
  • Oversee troubleshooting and repair tasks as needed
  • Ensure job sites are cleaned and organized post-installation
  • May require travel for extended periods
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe vehicle operation
  • Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, including at least 6 months in a leadership role
  • Experience with electrical systems and roof mounting
  • Strong motivation with a focus on productivity, detail, and safety
  • Able to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment
  • Willingness to climb ladders and work on rooftops for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Adaptability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain)
  • Proficient with both power and hand tools, and capable of instructing others in their safe use
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to maintain balance in unstable positions
