Job Summary:

As a key contributor to Messer Americas, the successful Account Manager will play a vital role in driving territory profitability and revenue growth through a deep understanding of the territory's bulk gases and equipment needs. This individual will leverage the company's resources and processes to differentiate Messer by adding value through unique Product Service Offerings. The primary responsibility will be to generate continuous profitable growth within the territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the territory's bulk gases and equipment needs.
  • Manage an existing portfolio of clients and related agreements to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop new customer relationships and negotiate new agreements to expand the business.
  • Manage price and cost recovery across the business to ensure profitability.
  • Prospect from multiple sources to develop new business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business, or other technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business-to-business Industrial Sales, Gases, Specialty Chemical, or other Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, proficient presentation skills, and sound planning/organizing skills.
  • A high level of critical and innovative thinking, with a sense of urgency and responsiveness to take immediate action to resolve customer issues.
  • Must be a self-starter that is achievement-driven and able to perform both individually and within a team environment.
