Job Description

At Planet Fitness Inc., we are committed to providing a positive member experience by delivering exceptional customer service. As a Member Services Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring our members feel welcome and supported throughout their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet members, prospective members, and guests with a friendly smile and provide personalized attention to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Handle front desk activities efficiently, including answering phones, checking members into the system, and facilitating new member sign-ups.
  • Take prospective members on tours, showcasing our facilities and services, and highlighting the benefits of joining our Judgement Free Zone.
  • Facilitate updates to member accounts, respond to questions and concerns, and escalate issues to Assistant Managers or Managers as needed.
Requirements
  • A customer service background is preferred, but not required. We value individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BASIC computer proficiency is essential for navigating our systems and software.
  • A passion for fitness and health is a must, as you will be inspiring and motivating our members to reach their goals.
  • Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable; you will be expected to maintain a high level of attendance and adhere to our scheduling requirements.
  • You will possess exceptional customer service skills, able to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
  • A strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem-solve is crucial in this role.
  • Diplomacy and discretion are essential when interacting with members and colleagues.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and walking during your shift is required.
  • Continual talking in person or on the phone is an essential aspect of this role.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Exposure to toxic chemicals may occur occasionally.
