Role Overview:

This position is pivotal in driving growth within our R&D Technology sector by overseeing one or more client accounts to promote and deliver tailored technology solutions in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries.

The individual in this role will be tasked with enhancing the capabilities of the Business Technology group focused on R&D by nurturing existing client relationships, establishing new connections, and generating fresh business opportunities. A comprehensive understanding of the company, its service offerings, and the ability to assess and present solutions relevant to the client base is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead extensive client business development and delivery projects in the Life Sciences sector, specifically within Pharmaceuticals and Biotech.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality client services and maintain exceptional work standards within set timelines and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep key stakeholders informed about developments and expected outcomes.
  • Develop relationships with new senior client stakeholders (CxOs) in technology roles across relevant industries.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with ZS leadership, focusing on core Digital and Technology (D&T) offerings for R&D.
  • Stay updated on current business and industry trends pertinent to the client's operations.
  • Effectively lead and inspire teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Encourage an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work atmosphere.
  • Play an active role in mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
  • Remain informed about new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
  • Exhibit profound R&D expertise with a functional understanding of data, systems, and business processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to rapidly assimilate new information.
  • Possess strong business acumen.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on Business or Life Sciences.
  • An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • 15+ years of experience in management consulting within the life sciences sector.
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership capacity within a professional services organization.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue within existing clients and developing new prospects at the executive level in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies.
