Position Overview: The role of Senior Principal Scientist in Oncology Clinical Biomarkers is pivotal within the Translational Medicine team at Bristol Myers Squibb. This position focuses on integrating translational research with clinical development, aiming to enhance biomarker strategies that align with clinical objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of biomarker strategies to support clinical development goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of Translational Medicine deliverables.
  • Engage with various functional groups to champion and align biomarker strategies with overall R&D objectives.
  • Continuously assess progress and apply critical thinking to deliver essential data and insights for decision-making.
  • Deliver high-quality biomarker strategies focused on target engagement, pharmacodynamics endpoints, and patient selection.
  • Ensure that biomarker plans meet established project standards and align with clinical operational plans.
  • Foster productive relationships with team members and effectively communicate key program information, risks, and milestones.

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in academia or industry.
  • Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Life Sciences with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.

Preferred:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of drug discovery principles and methodologies.
  • Significant understanding of translational research and clinical biomarkers in drug development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in oncology and tumor-immunology biology.
