Position: Field Sales Engineer

Role Objective:

The Field Sales Engineer will establish and nurture relationships while promoting products and services within a designated territory. This role involves engaging with engineers, project owners, and contractors to identify needs and deliver solutions that enhance profitability and customer satisfaction. The Field Sales Engineer will possess a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics, including revenue potential, competitive landscape, and industry trends that impact business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and pursue projects and opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare accurate quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Drive brand awareness and sales across all stages of the sales process.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by influencing project specifications, offering technical expertise, and collaborating with distribution partners.
  • Coordinate with design engineers, project owners, contractors, and channel partners to successfully finalize projects.
  • Develop a solid technical understanding of products to serve as a consultative resource for customers.
  • Provide regular reports on activities, including travel, market trends, and competitive insights.
  • Collaborate with segment Engineering Specialists to offer technical support during the specification process.
  • Engage with end-users to uncover value propositions and explore additional sales opportunities.
  • Deliver on-site technical assistance to address customer needs and enhance value.
  • Conduct informative presentations to engineering firms.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A four-year degree is preferred.
  • Experience with engineering design firms, facility owners, OEM manufacturers, and contractors is essential.
  • Basic familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and basic computer skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Must be detail-oriented and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of customers and company personnel.
