Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Agfa imaging systems within your designated area, including prompt troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with fellow Field Engineers to provide assistance as needed, ensuring efficient workload management.
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive feedback regarding technology performance and service quality to the product development team.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Installation Teams to effectively plan and execute installations.
  • Support sales initiatives by identifying potential DR prospects and providing technical expertise during pre- and post-sales processes.
  • Conduct installations, maintenance, and repairs of Agfa DR support and imaging systems, along with other OEM products.
  • Review operational functions of DR and imaging equipment with customers to fulfill training requirements during installations.
  • Respond swiftly to hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop solutions for technical challenges by collaborating with IT administrators and vendor support teams.
  • Ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of all Agfa imaging systems.
  • Install software and hardware, performing necessary performance analyses for imaging systems.
  • Identify and resolve system defects, applying appropriate fixes or workarounds.
  • Manage escalation processes for any issues related to imaging systems, keeping stakeholders informed throughout.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technology field.
  • Certifications such as MCSE, Network +, and CIIP are advantageous.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical customer support role, specifically with x-ray and digital imaging systems.
  • Preferred 2 to 3 years in a specialist role focused on x-ray technology.
  • Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with electronic and electromechanical systems is required.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of DR support and imaging systems, including networking and operating systems (UNIX and Windows).
  • Proficient in databases (Oracle and SQL) and digital medical image processing.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and knowledge management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong customer service orientation when interacting with clients.
  • Experience working in a global environment, fostering relationships with remote teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technical services sector and healthcare landscape.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
  • Eligibility to apply for necessary security clearances.
