Job Overview

SUMMARY: This role is dedicated to aiding participants in securing and maintaining employment by providing comprehensive employment services. This includes evaluating obstacles and cultivating skills that are essential for sustainable employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate, manage, and oversee a caseload of participants who are job-ready.
  • Facilitate individualized job assessment meetings with participants to support them in reaching their employment objectives.
  • Guide participants on essential employment services skills such as job search techniques, career development, networking, resume crafting, and interview preparation.
  • Foster a robust supportive relationship with employed participants through regular communication via various channels.
  • Design and deliver workshops focused on career development, offering clients ongoing educational and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate and communicate with case management staff to connect participants with necessary support and resources, whether in-house or through community partners.
  • Serve as a liaison for participants with internal staff or external service providers throughout all stages of job placement and retention.
  • Conduct follow-ups with clients and referral sources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Track and monitor the retention of employment placements at designated intervals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Internet Software, Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Human Resource Systems, Inventory Software, Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), and Presentation Software (PowerPoint).
  • Additional qualifications include:
  1. Preferred experience of one to three years in a related field.
  2. Preferred certification in NCRS or CADC, or a commitment to obtain within two years.
  3. Background in social services, case management, employment coaching, counseling, job placement, or a related area with an employment focus.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office and internet navigation.
  5. Capability to develop and implement plans that lead to successful job placements and outcomes.
  6. Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
  7. Aptitude for creating and maintaining detailed documentation.
  8. Ability to work efficiently to meet daily objectives.
  9. Creative problem-solving skills to utilize available resources effectively.
  10. Capacity to build meaningful relationships with participants, employers, and colleagues to support employment aspirations.
  11. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  12. Adaptability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
