About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor Co Inc. This individual will be responsible for identifying and reporting top quality issues, collaborating with departments to establish containment and implementing countermeasures to ensure acceptable quality for Honda products and parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive systemic change to process development and quality systems inside Assembly
  • Support Quality Cross Functional Leader in realizing business plan action items and results at the plant and department level
  • Develop and mature department quality activities and controls to ensure alignment with plant directives
  • Advise on plant hinjuku activity and content
  • Challenge Department to rotate PDCA and achieve results
  • Create and advise MQPL on NM problem management strategies and progress
  • Provide technical support to department IE for struggle items
  • PDCA for struggling BP themes (action and results)
  • Develop & create department KPI's per KI to achieve Quality targets
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in NM, Product Engineering or Quality role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Product manufacturing knowledge and engineering principles as it relates to new model, safety, quality, and delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high-impact communication skills, project management skills
  • Ability to develop strategies and initiatives at Department level
  • Ability to present to varying audiences, conduct in-depth technical analysis, lead, and prioritize multiple projects, work in a team environment as well independently
  • Ability to mentor and develop associates
Working Conditions
  • Onsite
  • 50+ hours per week
  • Travel domestic and international to other plants and suppliers
