Cornell University is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. As a member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to veterinarians and veterinary students
  • Assist with medical procedures, including anesthesia, surgery, and diagnostic testing
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with veterinarians and other veterinary care team members
  • Conduct medical calculations, including medication administration and dosing
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment

Requirements:

  • Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
  • Licensure as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York State
  • 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
