Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician II

Cornell University Hospital for Animals (CUHA) is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician II to join our team in the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and working collaboratively with our team of board-certified veterinary dentists and residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including physical exams, dental radiographs, and dental scaling
  • Assist with dental procedures, including extractions, restorations, and oral surgery
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with staff, students, and clients
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in veterinary dentistry
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience
  • NYS licensure or eligibility to be licensed
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in veterinary dentistry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with general or specialty practice dentals
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing
