About the Role

Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our nursing care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the education of veterinary students, interns, and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including triage, stabilization, and treatment of large animals
  • Collaborate with a team of board-certified clinicians and veterinary students to deliver individualized patient care
  • Participate in the education and training of veterinary students, interns, and residents
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing care protocols and procedures
  • Assist with diagnostic evaluations and medical procedures using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques
Requirements
  • Associate degree in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited institution, plus NYS licensure or eligibility
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn patient tracking software
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and pay close attention to details
