Risk Management Specialist II

As a Compliance and Risk Specialist II, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of individuals by ensuring adherence to compliance standards within our innovative financial solutions. This position involves leading compliance testing initiatives and collaborating with various teams to effectively scope, execute, and report on process and transactional assessments, all while meeting established deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead teams focused on compliance testing to achieve set objectives.
- Develop testing scopes based on identified business risks and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and ensure the accuracy of transactional reporting needs through collaboration with team members.
- Conduct interviews and testing to uncover gaps or potential non-compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Review the work of team members to ensure precision and provide necessary coaching.
- Collaborate with various business units to validate results.
- Present findings and conclusions to executive leadership.
- Manage multiple projects, including tracking team progress and coordinating meetings.
- Assist in updating policies, procedures, and training materials as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in financial services compliance, risk management, or audit, with a focus on compliance and regulatory documentation.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Compliance Management System or similar role.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and solve problems creatively.
- Proven analytical skills to assess data sets and identify trends.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects and adapting to meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with the capability to connect specifics to broader risk implications.
- Ability to address complex issues while maintaining objectivity.
- Willingness to learn new regulations and their applicability to our services.
- Aptitude for thriving in a dynamic work environment.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Prior experience in the financial services sector, particularly in personal and home equity loans or debt relief services, is preferred.
