Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to a work unit, including scheduling meetings, taking and transcribing meeting minutes, and preparing correspondence.
- Maintain records, order supplies, and answer questions regarding program services offered.
- Serve as the first point of contact for a program or work unit and direct inquiries to the appropriate office, division, or resource.
- Explain established procedures and practices to stakeholders.
- Maintain timesheets and enter time/leave taken into the timekeeping/payroll system for assigned program areas.
Requirements
- General knowledge of office principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
- Ability to interpret and follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Considerable skill in the operation of standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an office setting specific to the program area.
