Job Summary

OrthoVirginia is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing expert orthopedic care to our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our physicians and staff to deliver high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and surgical assistance under the direction of the supervising physician and/or Medical Director.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with the care team.
  • Perform physical examinations, compile medical data, and record medical history.
  • Order diagnostic studies and instruct patients and families regarding treatment plans and medications.
  • Consult with physicians to assess patient condition and treatment.
  • Ensure timely completion of medical charts and administrative paperwork.
  • Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
  • Support the patient and family by explaining the perioperative experience and providing specific instructions.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Maintenance of CEU's in pertinent clinical practice according to licensure requirements.
  • BLS Certification must be maintained.
  • Prefer 2 years of experience; orthopedic experience highly desired.
