Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and surgical assistance under the direction of the supervising physician and/or Medical Director.
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with the care team.
- Perform physical examinations, compile medical data, and record medical history.
- Order diagnostic studies and instruct patients and families regarding treatment plans and medications.
- Consult with physicians to assess patient condition and treatment.
- Ensure timely completion of medical charts and administrative paperwork.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Support the patient and family by explaining the perioperative experience and providing specific instructions.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Maintenance of CEU's in pertinent clinical practice according to licensure requirements.
- BLS Certification must be maintained.
- Prefer 2 years of experience; orthopedic experience highly desired.
