Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at Allergy Partners, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care with physicians, assisting with assessments, administering medications, and performing administrative duties that support patient care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Support: Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, take vital signs, and prepare patients for exams or treatments.
  • Assist physicians with assessments and provide support as needed.
  • Administer medications and perform breathing tests as ordered.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including patient education and documentation.
  • Call in prescriptions, perform allergy prick testing, and administer allergy injections as ordered.
  • Monitor patient medical status and maintain emergency equipment.
  • Answer patient-related phone calls and respond according to clinical protocol.
  • Follow up on referrals and insurance authorizations as requested.
  • Maintain clinical supply stock and medication samples.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree required; CMA certificate desirable.
  • At least one year of experience in clinical assisting.
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications.
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
  • Good communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
