As a Medical Assistant at Allergy Partners, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care with physicians, assisting with assessments, administering medications, and performing administrative duties that support patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Clinical Support: Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, take vital signs, and prepare patients for exams or treatments.
- Assist physicians with assessments and provide support as needed.
- Administer medications and perform breathing tests as ordered.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including patient education and documentation.
- Call in prescriptions, perform allergy prick testing, and administer allergy injections as ordered.
- Monitor patient medical status and maintain emergency equipment.
- Answer patient-related phone calls and respond according to clinical protocol.
- Follow up on referrals and insurance authorizations as requested.
- Maintain clinical supply stock and medication samples.
Qualifications:
- High school degree required; CMA certificate desirable.
- At least one year of experience in clinical assisting.
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications.
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
- Good communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
