About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our Climate, Energy, and Transportation line of business at ICF International Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical programs that will shape the future of energy policies and drive improved energy efficiency in homes and businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform research, analysis, and industry outreach to develop energy efficiency specifications for various product categories.
  • Serve as a liaison between government and industry stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities for improving product efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of energy efficiency savings using spreadsheets, databases, and custom programming.
  • Review literature and perform market and product analytical research.
  • Write technical materials and develop program strategies.
  • Prepare and present persuasive presentations and research and analysis of energy efficiency and industry trends.
  • Communicate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least one year of relevant technical experience in a full-time capacity.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in product development and/or test method development.
  • Familiarity with the development/delivery of public-private voluntary partnership programs, particularly those focused on energy efficiency.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including Microsoft applications, spreadsheet/database skills, and basic programming skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in climate- and sustainability-related areas.
  • Proficient written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and seek input when needed.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
