Your Role:
In this position, you will assist clients in the design, construction, renovation, and adaptation of their facilities by acquiring new mechanical systems and retrofitting current ones. These upgrades are crucial for enhancing the energy resilience of vital infrastructure. Your evaluations will assess the financial implications and practicality of existing energy frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your technical expertise to analyze the operational sequences of current systems.
- Evaluate the cost impacts of transitioning to all-electric heating and cooling systems through a thorough analysis of the existing mechanical framework and thermal load requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations on potential cost savings through efficient all-electric technologies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and analysts to leverage your analytical and engineering skills.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering or analysis within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in managing electrical, heating, cooling, and water systems.
- Experience in building design and the management of critical systems.
- Familiarity with fuels management and mechanical systems related to facility heating.
- Knowledge of building automation and energy management systems.
- Experience in operations, maintenance, and testing of energy systems.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and energy efficiency standards, particularly in relation to building electrification.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Department of Defense facilities and processes.
- Background in cost estimation and life-cycle assessments for mechanical systems.
- Experience in evaluating energy conservation measures.
- Knowledge of carbon-free energy project design and implementation.
- Professional Engineering License or Engineering in Training (EIT) Certification.
Compensation and Benefits:
At Booz Allen, we value your contributions and offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave and professional development opportunities. Our compensation structure considers various factors, including location and individual qualifications. The projected salary range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 annually.
Work Environment:
Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is remote or hybrid, you will work from a Booz Allen or client site as needed.
