MCC's Wine & Spirits division has collaborated with Training Within Industry, Inc (TWI) and Dozuki to revamp our operational training initiatives, creating new avenues for growth within our expanding business. The Training Coordinator will oversee all onboarding training for designated areas within the facility, dedicating 80% or more of their time to training activities: 10% in classroom settings and 90% through on-the-job training (OJT). Each Coordinator will be tasked with training a minimum of thirty new employees annually, in addition to cross-training existing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing top-tier operators
  • Deliver training for all trainers in the assigned area utilizing TWI Job Instruction (JI) techniques, achieving and maintaining JI certification with a focus on skill mastery
  • Ensure compliance with training schedules for new hires, monitoring training completion for all team members
  • Guarantee that all required personnel meet recertification objectives
  • Maintain updated Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs) for all operational roles in the training system, actively participating in the documentation approval process
  • Assist in the creation of JIBs as necessary
  • Ensure the availability of updated Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for all operational roles in the training system, collaborating with subject matter experts to finalize
  • Support the development of QRGs as needed
  • Manage training plans within the system, including course assignments and user management
  • Track training metrics and timelines, including dashboards and forecasting in partnership with site leaders
  • Conduct weekly training audits with Supervisors
  • Prioritize safety as the primary focus within the facility, promoting and practicing safety awareness through proper equipment usage
  • Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in training within a manufacturing or similar environment, with a preference for printing industry experience
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and approachability are essential
  • A genuine passion for facilitating others' learning, growth, and career advancement
  • Experience in developing a training program from inception to execution
  • Self-motivated individual with a results-driven mindset
  • Formal training education/certification, preferably from TWI Institute, is advantageous
  • Intermediate math skills are highly desirable
  • Experience with online training systems is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred

Additional Considerations:

  • Work conditions may involve standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, as well as walking and interacting with employees on the floor
  • Travel requirements are estimated to be 0-10%, including potential travel to other facilities within the business unit for training events as necessary
