Position Overview
The Production Training Specialist partners with Production Supervisors and the Training & Development Manager to address the educational requirements of the department. This role involves closely mentoring new hires through onboarding processes and providing ongoing coaching for current Production staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Onboarding
    • Guide new employees in accessing the Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Verify completion of all LMS training prior to initiating On-the-Job training.
    • Conduct On-the-Job training across various systems, pack outs, and operational stations.
    • Ensure new hires demonstrate proficiency in their current station before advancing to additional training.
  • Current Staff Development
    • Facilitate training for existing personnel on new operational stations.
    • Maintain an updated roster of department staff, including their training status.
    • Organize a monthly training schedule within the LMS.
      • Reschedule training sessions for staff who miss their assigned times.
    • Deliver training on PSOP / CWI updates as required.
    • Document training completions outside of the LMS for the Training & Development Manager.
    • Provide refresher training to current staff as necessary (e.g., audits, feedback).
    • Communicate training status updates to the Training & Development Manager.
  • Content Development
    • Identify trends and opportunities, collaborating with the Training & Development Manager to create Job Aids and Training Resources for the department.
  • Support Production tasks during downtime to remain current with operational practices.
  • Assist in testing and validating new service lines within the workflow.
Position Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities - facilitation, soft skills, providing constructive feedback, and patience.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Project management experience.
Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in a Production role at MedVantx.
  • Certification as a Production Technician is preferred.
  • Proficient in all operational stations and functions.
Physical Requirements
The employee is required to stand, use hands for various tasks, and reach with arms. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The employee must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift items up to 75 pounds throughout a shift without assistance (weight varies based on product).
