About the Role

Baird is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Client Specialist Training Program. As a Client Specialist Trainee, you will play a critical role in supporting our Financial Advisors and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Onboarding Coordination: Manage Financial Advisor prospect pipelines, assist with proposal generation, prepare new account paperwork, open accounts, transition new assets to Baird, and establish ongoing communication/client service plans.
  • Knowledge and Partnership: Gain knowledge of and partner with Baird's Corporate Resource Groups to provide the best solutions to clients.
  • Phone and Appointment Management: Answer incoming phone calls and handle as appropriate, schedule client appointments, and coordinate conference room arrangements.
  • Business Adherence and Compliance: Understand and ensure adherence to firm and financial industry regulatory policies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems for Financial Advisors, leverage the platform to manage client relationships, and implement well-defined client service models.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate seminars and client events, develop client lists, design materials, and create meeting content.
  • Transaction Management: Initiate and complete transactions required to fully service client accounts, including paperwork, correspondence, and client request fulfillment.
  • Order Entry: Enter security orders, including stocks, bonds, fixed income, options, annuities, and other investment vehicle orders, per Financial Advisors' instructions or upon client direction.

  • Education: High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Licenses: Ability to study for and obtain the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam and Series 7 and 66 licensures within 18 months of hire, with training and resources provided by Baird.
