Currency Exchange International is seeking a proactive, results-oriented, and organized professional for the role of Processing Specialist.

Position Overview: The Processing Specialist is responsible for servicing customers by managing incoming and outgoing cash orders while ensuring inventory accuracy. In this role, you will operate within our cash center to account for cash and prepare orders for transport to banks, money service businesses, and other CXI clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

  • Accurately prepare outbound foreign currency orders in a timely manner.
  • Act as a verifier for manually constructed orders to ensure accuracy prior to shipment when necessary.
  • Confirm incoming foreign currency purchases to ensure they match the invoice.
  • Conduct daily balancing of individual tills to reconcile cash transactions.
  • Utilize Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) for efficient processing of incoming cash transactions and/or preparation of outbound cash orders.
  • Reconcile and consolidate foreign currencies to integrate into main inventory.
  • Assist in daily balancing activities as directed.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for domestic and international armored shipments.
  • Provide support to team members as needed, including receiving supplies and other office deliveries.

Team Collaboration and Safety:

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure timely processing.

  • May assist in training and mentoring new Processing Specialists.

Physical Requirements:

The employee will frequently stand, walk, use their hands for tasks such as handling objects, and reach with their arms. Occasionally, they may need to sit or kneel. Good vision, including close and distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, and depth perception, is essential. Additionally, the employee should be able to lift and move boxes or bags weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
