Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled 911 Telecommunicator to join our team at our Emergency Call Relay Center. As a 911 Call Center Representative, you will be responsible for receiving and processing emergency calls, providing critical information to callers, and ensuring seamless communication between emergency responders and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process emergency calls in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Obtain critical information from callers, including location, nature of emergency, and other relevant details
  • Employ advanced computer systems and software to relay calls to the appropriate emergency responders
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to callers, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with emergency responders and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and response
  • Participate in quality reviews and process improvements to enhance the overall quality of service
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • One year of experience in an emergency communications center or similar environment
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and computer systems
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and overnights
  • Regular attendance and adherence to attendance policies
