Job Schedule:
9/80 – 9 hours Monday to Thursday, 8 hours every other Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire essential components and services to meet diverse organizational and manufacturing requirements.
- Oversee subcontracts for designated suppliers and commodities.
- Serve as a primary contact for various internal stakeholders, including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program teams, ensuring a meticulous focus on details.
- Generate and issue various contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M) and lead the supplier selection process, including cost/price analysis, fact-finding, and formal negotiations.
- Ensure adherence to delivery timelines by proactively following up with suppliers.
- Review and negotiate modifications to terms and conditions, including agreements such as End User License Agreements, while comprehending component specifications and requirements.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with FAR regulations and internal policies, conducting audits of purchase order files and peer documentation.
- Actively engage in company and departmental improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 4 years of professional experience in procurement within an MRP (ERP) driven manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated history of successful procurement negotiations.
- Experience in a government/FAR procurement environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with contract terms and conditions, along with procurement agreement experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of engineering documentation and product configuration.
Compensation:
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in CA or WA is $80,500 - $149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amounts may vary based on experience and geographic location.
