Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee our projects at Commonwealth Building Inc. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

About Commonwealth Building Inc. is a reputable General Contractor operating in the greater New England region, specializing in new construction, tenant improvements, and renovation projects across the Retail, Restaurant, Corporate, and Commercial sectors. We value self-motivated individuals with a strong construction background and excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring coordination of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors while adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitate collaboration among subcontractors engaged in various project phases.
  • Interpret and implement Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings effectively in the field.
  • Monitor and manage the construction schedule to ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide regular updates to the Owner and Architect regarding project progress and any modifications.
  • Supervise in-house field staff to maintain productivity and safety standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily construction log and enforce onsite safety protocols.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with project managers, owners, and architects to discuss project status.
  • Engage professionally with Owners, Architects, and Store Managers on a daily basis.
  • Compile and manage Closeout documents and warranty information in collaboration with the project manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in General Construction Supervision, preferably in the Retail sector.
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Holding an unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience with Procore software is advantageous.
