Lead Gas and Construction Compliance Inspector


System One is in search of a Lead Gas and Construction Compliance Inspector to supervise and ensure quality control on construction initiatives involving Gas Transmission and/or Distribution pipelines, as well as associated facilities.

This position presents a valuable opportunity to become part of a well-regarded organization within the engineering and construction services industry.

Key Information:

Temporary-to-permanent role with potential for full-time employment after 520 hours worked.

Compensation up to $50/hour, with salary reflecting experience.

Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Weekly payment schedule

Benefits available after 30 days (including health, dental, and vision insurance)

Responsibilities:


Possess experience and training in excavation, roadway, or utility construction, focusing on gas installations, plastic piping, welding, and steel pipefitting.

Gas Inspectors will oversee construction projects related to Gas Transmission and/or Distribution pipelines, gate stations, district regulator stations, and downgrades.


Inspectors may need to manage multiple construction projects at different phases simultaneously, from design and cost estimation to final project closeout.

The Inspector must demonstrate leadership abilities, computer proficiency, and a solid understanding of the utility sector.


Inspectors will be responsible for evaluating work performed by construction contractors, ensuring compliance with company standards, proper methodologies, and appropriate use of resources and equipment.

Candidates must be able to interpret technical drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures.

They should maintain accurate and comprehensive field records, including daily reports, material usage, and field test documentation.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations is essential, as all inspectors must ensure that the projects they oversee are conducted safely.

Essential Qualifications:


An Associate's Degree in a technical or construction-related field, or a high school diploma coupled with relevant work experience, is required.


A minimum of five (5) years of experience in excavation, roadway, or utility construction, particularly in electric installations, plastic piping, welding, and steel pipefitting, is necessary.

Inspectors will oversee construction projects related to Overhead and Underground Electric Transmission, Substation, Overhead and Underground Distribution, Environmental, Facilities, and other electric utility projects.

Availability for extended hours and weekends as required.

Inspectors must possess leadership skills, computer literacy, and a comprehensive understanding of the utility industry.

A valid Driver's License is required.
