Description


Rod 'N' Reel Resort is seeking Part-Time Guest Services Representatives to manage the welcoming of visitors, oversee online and phone bookings, and ensure accurate processing of guest payments.

The Guest Services Representative is expected to be engaging, customer-focused, and approachable.

This position requires attentiveness to guests' needs, ensuring they feel welcomed, comfortable, valued, and at ease.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently check guests in and out while providing a warm welcome. Distribute room keys and guide guests to their accommodations and resort amenities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all resort activities, events, dining options, transportation, and local attractions.
  • Acquire detailed knowledge of hotel personnel, room layouts, pricing, facilities, and sales techniques.
  • Address guest special requests, manage room blocks, and monitor room availability.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries and complaints.
  • Accurately post guest charges and calculate all bills. Collect payments following the resort's cash handling protocols.
  • Quickly and efficiently process reservation requests.
  • Answer the resort's phone line in accordance with proper telephone etiquette standards.
  • Collaborate with various resort departments to ensure timely responses to guest needs.
  • Report any incidents or injuries to senior management immediately.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous front desk experience in the hospitality sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software is advantageous.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive demeanor are essential.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to prepare and review written documents accurately and answer phones with appropriate etiquette.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in multitasking, especially in high-pressure situations.
