Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Jobot. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial processes and ensuring financial accuracy.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a fast-paced, high-performing team, where you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, conducting regular ledger processes, and analyzing financial statements for discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
  • Ledger Processes: Conduct regular ledger processes and reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  • Inter-Company Transactions: Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  • Audits: Conduct broad audits or assist with audits conducted by others.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare corporate tax returns and other necessary financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of payments and invoices.
  • Budgeting and Accounting Policies: Assist in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies.
  • Financial Presentations: Prepare financial presentations using keynote, including charts, graphs, and tables to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist with cash flow management and forecasting, and maintain the general ledger system.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software and databases.
  • Knowledge: Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Automated Financial & Accounting Reporting Systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of accuracy.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Work Ethic: A strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
