Key Responsibilities - Assistant Controller:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting division
    • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance.
  • Lead the financial audit process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive process enhancements to improve efficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to guarantee precision and completeness.
  • Supervise general ledger reconciliations.
  • Develop and mentor staff
    • Focus on performance management, goal setting, training, and fostering strong employee relationships.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during year-end processes.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications - Assistant Controller:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
  • Compensation range is $120,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, AS400, or similar being advantageous.
