Patient Access Specialist Ambulatory Care

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Ambulatory Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for registering patients for services, ensuring accurate and timely information exchange, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with patients and/or caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation.
  • Communicate with referring providers, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange information and determine schedules.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system.
