Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and families, answer phones, and respond to messages in a timely and professional manner.
2. Schedule appointments, register patients, and verify demographic information.
3. Obtain and verify insurance information, including coordination of benefits and pre-certification/prior-authorization.
4. Collect patient payments and provide accurate receipts.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic medical records.
6. Promote a positive and respectful work environment, adhering to Intermountain Healthcare's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements:

1. One year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
3. Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bilingual English and Spanish.
2. Experience using Epic software.

Work Environment:

This position is located in the Candelas Clinic, with a scheduled weekly hours of 40. The hourly rate for this position is $22.54, with the potential for advancement based on experience.
